Slow solar cooking brings out the best of red cabbage. Serve it alongside pork or sausages.
Sun Baked Red Cabbage
Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Set Sun Oven out to preheat.
Combine the butter, caraway seeds, cumin seeds, and garlic in a large pot. Add the cabbage, tossing to coat. Stir in the wine, salt, and pepper. Cover and transfer to the Sun Oven. Bake until the cabbage is tender, about 1 hour. Serve warm.
